<p class="Paragraph">You can set a global configuration (so that it applies to all documents of this type), or you can connect the configuration to a specific document, which must exist as a file.</p>

<p class="P2">Load the document you want to connect to the configuration or open any document of the same type.</p>

<p class="P2"><span class="T1">Set the configuration. For example, select the toolbars you want to have visible or define what is on the toolbars, menus or status bar, etc. All such configuration options are found under Tools - Configure</span>.</p>

<p class="P2">Click <span class="T1">Save...</span> in the dialog under <span class="T1">Tools - Configure</span>. <text:s text:c="" xmlns:text="http://openoffice.org/2000/text"/>Another dialog appears in which you can save the configuration.</p>

<p class="P2">In the <span class="T1">File Type</span> list box, select <All>.</p>

<p class="P2">In the large list box of the Save dialog, select the file you want to connect to the configuration.</p>

<p class="P2">Click <span class="T1">Save</span>. A prompt appears, asking whether you want to replace the file or not. This query concerns only the configuration connected to the document, not the "actual" contents of the document.</p>

<p class="Paragraph">The configuration is now connected to the active document. You can check this by loading the document and choosing <span class="T1">File - Document Template - Organizer</span> then double-clicking the document.</p>
<p class="Paragraph">As soon as you load or open this document, the configuration saved therein becomes active. The global default configuration is restored when you load or open another document that does not contain custom configuration information. You can select manual settings at any time by choosing <span class="T1">Tools - Configure</span> and clicking the <span class="T1">Reset</span> button.</p>
